Body Scent

I own over 200 bottles of perfume. Of those I layer molocule 01 under everything. For the folks that do not understand this fragrance I will say this: after buying from Barney’s several years ago (the og) the boutique manager said that if I can’t smell it (I always could) he said spray a scarf or a shirt with it and go back later and inhale deeply. Then you will understand. I think that there is a misconception with the people who do not like this fragrance. It’s not a perfume per se. It’s an olfactory body pheromone enhancer and also a base layer for anything. But if you are buying this thinking you are buying a scent you would perhaps just not get it. I am one of the lucky ones that can smell it on my skin and I have probably went through over 20 bottles of the og. Oakcha’s version is definitely stronger but you have to understand that this is not a perfume it’s an enhancer and the best one ever in my opinion. Oakcha did a great job!

Intriguing right? ISO E super? I needed to know. When I first sprayed BODY SCENT, I was tripping. At first I thought “is this water?” There was this strange underscent.. I hate to say it, but it really did smell like a molecule. I had ordered like 5 other perfumes at the time so I was distracted, as she doesn’t exactly have a SCENT per se, not one you’d expect from a perfume, anyway. A week later I tried it again. They say the bottles need to sit, and they are right- it hugs the curves of your own natural scent and embellishes it, never overpowering you, only highlighting. But don’t expect to love it right away, she’s super subtle. I also notice it really boosts and enhances other perfume. Just try it.

Okay, so reading the reviews I was obviously intrigued. Some don’t smell a scent at all, while some say it’s fresh and “get compliments all the time”. Once I got my hands on it, I thought I couldn’t really smell much either, it had a familiar subtle smell but I didn’t think much of it (I had many others in the package and was distracted) until a few weeks had passed, maybe time changed it like some say in these reviews of other perfumes, but I really gave it an earnest try just now, spraying 5-6 spritzes- something I never do, and immediately was hit with the usual alcohol-type weird smell (it really does smell like a molecule) but upon dry down this time I smelled that familiar smell, but it was way more pronounced, almost magnified. Thinking how to explain.. imagine getting a Barbie fresh out of the box when you were a kid. That fresh new Barbie smell? That’s pretty close. Not PLASTIC per-se, it’s a sweet smell, almost like the smell that accompanies the excitement. It’s a strange nostalgic scent to me and naturally invokes memories. I’ve never had such a weird cerebral feeling from a damn perfume. But that’s me 😂

Just get it! It’s so strange. Probably will be an interesting layer to add to other perfumes as well.
